Entry 24 Goodbye to Artemis

This week, I am aware of the deadline for Artemis is upon me, as well as I feel that her design resembles the appearance that I first imagined.

I admit that my photoshop skills are still lacking the professional appearance, with applications that I haven't used yet in this project, but over time I want to be able to make characters that look realistic and be visually interesting to you as the target audience.

This is the character sheet giving for Artemis giving backstory and other vital information to give her a personality, whilst showcasing my own process with pieces like the faces or  other concept art.

In my level design, it has been completed with some part that need tweaking or fixing.

To get it to completion, I have learnt and aquired new skills for the use of triggers and sound cuesto make the experience unique.

To me my level isn't perfect yet it is a basis on which I could improve upon, in terms of assets, textures and general knowledge of UDK and other supprting programmes.

Entry 23 Great Year

This week I am cautious of the impending deadline, therefore I am doing more work to show my progress with new additions e.g. more line drawings or new concept art from the use of my research.

For instance this is one of three, through a useful process that shows progression through each stage of the creation of artemis or any other character.

In my level, I am almost complete, all I need to add is an atmospheric feel with sounds around the level, to deliver a realstic or to make the audience part of the story with its design.

Now I am reaching the end of my 1st year, I feel as if I have learnt and adaptied to my newly aquired skills that I have learned throught this course with programmes like UDK, that i had never used before or adding new skills to programmes like photoshop that I have small amount of knowledge, But overall I have found this to be a challenge because of its ability to keep me learning new methods of accomplishing my target.

Entry 22: Easter treats

Happy Easter

Over the last 2 weeks, I have added a new face to artemis that I feel has adds more reality and depth to the character.

I have also created concept art from existing images to give shape and using the shadow as an example for my own work e.g. this image is simple, but yet has an ability to show a realistic form.

Her new form has presented an opportunity to create a new blueprint of unhooded version.

In my level, I have added and learnt new techniques about adding animations in UDK.

I have added triggers to doors through the use of kismat to add animations to the lift and doors to make the players experience more smooth and less problems.

Entry 21: Revolution is coming

This week,
I feel that I am learning new skills whilst using digital drawing, as you see I have now completed 4 different views of Artemis, but I don't think that this blueprints would be usable in teh case of creating a 3d models

Overall, I am happy with her design as well as the style that I ahve encorparated through my reference and various ideas that I have used as developement.

I am almost close to completion with the continuance of adding more textures to my level.

I have applied griffiti to walls spelling out
" revolution is coming", I have added this because it adds a feeling to the current situation in time.

I have decided to add boxes and spray cans to the upper level of the building, also I have modelled a torch to represent the lights source in the tunnel.
